Objective: The basic aim of this course is to ensure that students learn the Turkish foreign policy's historical development with all political, economic and social dimensions by taking domestic, regional and global dynamics into consideration.
Content: The main objective of this course will be to issue the policies and applications since the founding of the Republic of Turkey. After an overview to inter-state relations of the last period of Ottoman Empire, the National Struggle foreign policy, the Treaty of Lausanne and the Mosul will be discussed in detail.1930 and after examining in detail the Turkish foreign policy until 1939, the period after World War II and Turkey's entry into NATO will be the subject in the course. The Regional policy applied by Turkey, after the entrence into NATO, began foreign policy review in 1964. After the reduction of tension with the Soviet Union, the 1970s and 1980s foreign policy examining wiil be continued with the 1990s where the Cold War ended. Lastly, it focuses the period up to the 2000s .
